Band Mate is a free rehearsal and practice app for musicians. This Privacy Policy explains how Band Mate handles information. Band Mate does not require account creation and uses Firebase Analytics to understand basic app and website usage.

2. No Account Or Contact Information Collection

Band Mate does not ask users to sign up, log in, or provide personal information. Band Mate does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, contacts, precise location, personal profiles, or account identifiers.

Band Mate uses Firebase Analytics for aggregated usage measurement, such as app opens, page views, device and platform information, and general engagement events. Band Mate does not use Firebase Analytics to create user accounts or sell advertising profiles.

3. On-Device Data

Band Mate may store app data locally on the user's own device so the app can work properly and restore practice state. This local data is not transmitted to Band Mate servers.

• App settings and preferences
• Metronome, practice player, and YouTube bookmark states
• Recording library entries and practice recordings saved by the user on the device
• Recently used local practice state needed for app functionality

4. Microphone, Files, And Media

Band Mate may request microphone access for tuner and recording features. Microphone audio is used for the requested feature on the device. Band Mate does not send microphone audio to Band Mate servers.

Band Mate may access local audio files only when the user chooses a file for practice playback. Selected files remain under the user's control and are used for local playback features.

5. YouTube References

If the user loads YouTube content, playback may be handled by YouTube or platform web components. YouTube and related platform services may process technical information under their own policies. Band Mate does not operate a separate user profile or tracking database for YouTube references.

6. Free App And Voluntary Team Support

Band Mate is free to use. Core rehearsal tools are not locked behind a paywall. If a voluntary Support the Team option is offered, it is a one-time optional way to support development and is separate from customer support.

Any platform payment processing is handled by the relevant app store or payment platform. Band Mate does not collect or store payment card numbers, bank details, billing addresses, or payment credentials.

7. Data Sharing And Sale

Band Mate does not sell personal information. Band Mate may share basic usage and diagnostics information with Firebase Analytics as the analytics provider. Band Mate does not share names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, precise location, or personal profiles with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.

8. Children

Band Mate is not specifically directed to children. Because Band Mate does not require an account or contact information, the app is designed to avoid collecting children's personal contact information as well.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app, site, or legal requirements change. The latest version published on this page will apply.
